Contributor to Student Media - can include Radio, Video or Newspaper. Use the media facilities to showcase the Brunel experience and your skills via the various mediums even if not related to your degree subject. You earn points for consistent contribution on a termly basis.
Elected, first point of contact for fellow course students. Responsible for bringing views forward locally, with the staff on the course, programme or division. You earn points for being elected as a course representative
From Course Reps to Union President, every representative gives every student a louder voice. Reps, Officers and Chairs are elected throughout the year. You earn points for being elected as a Union Representative with a sliding scale based on seniority of position.
Here at Brunel there are 100+ societies for you to join. Societies are a fantastic way for you to meet like-minded people and can supplement your university studies. The recreational activities on campus can offer a great social life and skills that may not be part of your degree subject. You earn points in this category for involvement in a society that focuses on Brunel and our campus.
If you have been involved in an activity that isn't listed in one of the other categories, then don't worry, you can still earn points. Fill out the form as per normal, but include a bit more in the description explaining what category you think the activity falls under. We will add it to the list, and apply the points earned towards your Brunel+ Award.
Employed by the University to support and advise new resident students and to promote and encourage a sense of community within the University. In addition, the Team Leaders for Residences' Student Mentors, meet with Operations Managers for each Hall of Residence and cascade any issues. You earn points for being appointed as a Residences Student Mentor, with a bonus for senior positions.
Silver Surfers is a voluntary technology workshop run by the Student Union and AGE UK. The purpose is to teach older members of the community how to use the technology that is used on a day to day basis. This could include creating a Facebook account, how to send a text message, and filling out an online form. You earn points for each teaching session attended.
The Student Ambassador Scheme gives students the opportunity to represent the University to the outside world through a variety of activities. If you love your time here and fully embrace all that Brunel has to offer, get involved as an Ambassador. You earn points for each activity attended.
