The Brunel Buddies scheme aims to support new students through their first weeks at Brunel. Buddies are trained Brunel students who use their own personal experience of being a new student to answer any questions current new students may have, as well as sign posting them to support services at Brunel.

In addition, the Team Leaders for Residences' Student Mentors, meet with Operations Managers for each Hall of Residence and cascade any issues. You earn points for being appointed as a Residences Student Mentor, with a bonus for senior positions.
Silver Surfers is a voluntary technology workshop run by the Student Union and AGE UK. The purpose is to teach older members of the community how to use the technology that is used on a day to day basis. This could include creating a Facebook account, how to send a text message, and filling out an online form. You earn points for each teaching session attended.
