Peer-assisted learning (PAL) is a model of student-to-student learning. PAL leaders facilitate groups of level 1 students giving them the opportunity to work together and further understand and solve any queries that might arise during their studies.
PAL leaders receive full training at the start of the year, participate in observations and attend debrief sessions following their PAL sessions.
At Brunel, for the 2016/17 year, PAL schemes are operating in Computer Science, Maths, Occupational Therapy, Business Studies, Civil Engineering and Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.
